I am a dedicated dyslexia tutor with a passion for helping students unlock their full potential. With over 25 years of experience in special education and literacy instruction, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals with dyslexia.
My journey into dyslexia tutoring began during my undergraduate studies in Education, where I became fascinated by the cognitive processes underlying reading and language acquisition. This interest led me to pursue further education in Special Education, specialising in dyslexia intervention strategies.
Throughout my career, I have worked with learners of all ages, from primary school children to adults. I believe in delivering a personalised approach for each student, tailoring my instruction to their specific strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By employing multisensory techniques, assistive technology, and evidence-based interventions, I empower my students to overcome obstacles and achieve academic success.
In addition to my work as a tutor, I am actively involved in dyslexia advocacy efforts within my community. I collaborate with educators, parents, and policymakers to raise awareness about dyslexia and promote early screening and intervention initiatives.
I am committed to lifelong learning and continually seek out new strategies and resources to enhance my practice as a dyslexia tutor.
